Agree, I believe there are a lot of opportunities in the industries we are familiar with so why not stick with that. Also, I made the mistake early in my journey and learned quickly that do not invest in things I don't understand.

I do not understand Forex, bonds, Banks and a few other industries which I stay away from.

Great write up! I believe the circle of competence in underused by investors, we can sometimes get sucked into market hype and invest into industries we don’t fully understand.
